Lessons Learned (print media)

I already expected that doing our very own magazine will not be easy but I did not expect it to be that hard.

Being through this somehow an experience that is full of ups and downs, I discovered a lot of things about myself and my blockmates. We had a roller coaster ride upon doing TAHO, our magazine.

When we were told to do our magazine, we were all so excited. We have been so eager to make one and everyone has their own ideas to make our magazine work.

Our professor divided the works in different groups and department. The whole class had their choice to go to a group or department that they really would be working.

We started to work smoothly and we're fine. Until one day, we found out that we are lacking on funds. If there's no fund, there is no magazine. So we started to panic a little bit. Luckily we figured out a way through that problem of ours and we made it through productions. But yet, another crisis came to us before we did the production. The first finished lay-out turned out to be a bit of a failure because it did not turn out so good. So our CA3 heroes came to the rescue and rearranged or should I say, redevelop the lay-out and voila! Here comes TAHO! Simple, but better!

After that we are back in the business! It only took us two days and we sold it all out. It's not that am boasting about it but I am just proud of what we have done.

In all of these I learned new things and saw them perspectively.

First, all for one and one for all. Everyone has to do his/her job to make it all work. In this kind of work, it's not appropriate to give one person a big part than anyone. Even the small parts should be done by a team so that it's faster and easier.WERE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER right?!

Second, patience is a virtue. All of us were really anxious to see the finished product not knowing the drama behind the making of it. It made me realize the important of having patience because this is for all of us not only for me. And also, me being patient came in handy because it paid a price; I am sure that I am happy with the work we had.

Third, give your best shot. It's not like were doing magazines everyday or every week, so why don't we give our 100% of what we do. Not only in this experience but for all that we do, lets give it all we can. You might be surprised after knowing what price you got for trying your best in things you really want.

Fourth, never lose hope. Yeah I really had thought of it. In times like these, we should really never lose hope. Simply because if you lose hope, you'll lose yourself, and when you lose yourself, you'll mess everything. That's why. Try to smile through things.

Lastly, thank God! never forget that His the one who made it all possible and He was always there through all this thing so we should thank Him. He never left our sides since the very beggining. We should never forget His divine presence. And we should thank him always because that's really a must. So Lord, thank you.

I really learned a lot from this experience and this is surely unforgettable for me so I'm thankful that we were given a chance to do TAHO. On behalf of 1CA3, I would like to thank those who supported us and those who believed that we can do this!Till next issue. (if there will be another)
